Let guests veg out during cocktail hour!

Don’t let guests go hungry between your ceremony and reception while they're waiting for you to finish taking pictures. Vegetables are fairly inexpensive and can be used to create a display that will wow and please any crowd!

All of these veggie stations can be created using clear glass vases or white serving ware. Check out our assortment of food display items and appetizer servers at http://www.detailspartyrental.com/Serving/Food_Service.html and http://www.detailspartyrental.com/Candy_Buffet/Menu.htm.

These veggies were displayed in votive holders with ranch dressing at the bottom. You can use wheat grass to add more color. You can get artificial wheat grass at Save-On-Crafts.com.

Use martini vases or smaller square vases for dips. Don’t forget to provide plates and small spoons for the dips.

Home run! Baseball Tailgate

We had so much fun designing this bases-loaded baseball tailgate last week! Across the street from the newly redesigned Blue Bell Park, guests were welcomed with themed table decor. We'd say we hit it out of the park!

Burlap and Lace Baby Shower

I went to my best friend's baby shower this weekend and it was adorable! I loved the lace and burlap. This is going to be one spoiled little girl!

Each guest was asked to bring a onesie that would remind the mom-to-be of her. As a game, the mom-to-be tried to guess who brought each onesie. These were also used as part of the decorations. I bet you can't guess which one is mine. Whoop!

This adorbale cake was made by Lemon Sisters in Cleburne, Texas. These were some of the best wrapped presents I've ever seen!

A hostess made the burlap banner that spelled Tinley. Each guest was asked to address an envelope with their address to make it easier for the mom-to-be to send thank you notes.

I adore this vintage color scheme!

Spring has sprung! Ideas for decorating outdoor events

Spring has sprung! As the flowers begin to bloom with beautiful buds, blushing brides bolt outside to host their birthday brunches, baby showers and bachelorette bashes! And what better time than now to enjoy time with friends and family in the great outdoors?

Many brides who host outdoor events don't quite know where to begin when decorating their space. That's okay! We hope these easy ideas help your brain start budding with ideas for your outdoor event this spring.

We love how this chandelier delicately lights the outdoor space. Not only does this look add a little romance, it makes for a great photo op too!

Paper lanterns are a colorfully classic look that will never go out of style. This bubble of fun adds the perfect pop to a spring event!

Draped fabric may seem simple, but has a dramatic effect! Very clean and chic!

If you have a themed event, don't be afraid to show it in your outdoor space! We're having fun just looking at this carnival wedding.

These look similar to paper lanterns, but you can make them yourself! Try bunching up tissue paper or coffee filters- voila!

Easy DIY Lit Monogram

If you come to my house, you will find the letter “B” everywhere! This do-it-yourself lit monogram from Polka Dot Bride caught my eye and looks very simple to make. This piece will stand out during an outdoor evening reception or backyard barbecue!

You will need a set of Christmas lights and a wire frame letter. This project used Swiss Miss 10″ Wire Frame Letters and Ikea’s Staala lights. You will also need some wire to attach the lights to the wire letter. Craft stores sell this type of wire in their jewelry department.

Start wrapping the lights around the wire letter. Every now and then, secure the lights with wire.

If you want to hang the letter, attach some pretty some ribbon to the top. Voila! Easy and exquisite.
